Holiday Club 2012 – More Razzamatazz Robots

Words by Inita Sylja (age 12)

The Razzmatazz Robots are here to stay!

It has been an excellent week at the Razzmatazz Robots holiday club. Each day we have learnt a new story from the book of Genesis from the creation of the world to Adam and Eve disobeying God. It’s been a great opportunity for the children to understand and observe the wonders of God. Day by day we have had a section of the holiday club to talk about the story of Genesis.

Monday the first day of razzmatazz Robots: We started off by designing our name tags. Then we learnt our first song by John Hardwick – I think the kids definitely enjoyed it! After a bright start to the day we rolled on to the Watt family drama including a nutty professor, a glamorous grandma, chatty Wendy, gangster Rick, and a wacky shopkeeper.

Tuesday 2nd day of holiday club: With another day ahead we started off by singing our waking song again. A little later on we had a extravagant puppet show hosted by Chris and Kate talking about different versions to refer to the stories of God. Everyone had a vocal farewell as we played our song and the parents heard us singing our theme song.

Wednesday 3rd day of holiday club: As the past days have gone on we have started with our song but this morning we started off by having fitness and learnt a few jazzy moves. We also have a daily memory verse we learn in between the stories! Later on in the day we move on to craft – and what’s more exotic but making robots out of crackers, cheese spread, peppers, cucumber and cress. Then the best part eating it!!!!

Thursday 4th day of holiday club: More songs, more dance moves, more games and a lot more fun! Today we got the face paints out and a lot of people ended up looking like robots. Everyone is looking forward to the evening event with the parents and finding out what will happen to the Watt family!
